Kirkalocka Project

Kirkalocka Project

The Company holds two exploration licences in the Kirkalocka area midway between Paynes Find and Mt Magnet. These tenements are focused on the Wydgee Greenstone belt, a tightly folded and sheared sequence of basalts, sediments and banded iron units (BIF). A geochemical auger program has been designed to follow up on some gold anomalism identified in E59/2309, where some previous work in 2019 had identified a number of gold anomalies associated with quartz veining within interpreted basaltic rocks.

The collated drilling data shows that the Blaze tenure is relatively under-explored. The majority of previous drilling has been centred around the Kirkalocka / Curara Well mine area, currently being developed by private gold developer Adaman Resources. Adaman acquired the Project in 2018 and has subsequently completed a BFS, secured A$55 million in project funding and is presently refurbishing and upgrading the site in readiness for production in December Quarter 2019.

Any new gold discoveries by Blaze within its tenure would be located within easy trucking distance to the Curara Well CIP plant.
